It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

After our two nights of elves with gifts it was almost disappointing to not have anything waiting on our doorstep Wednesday night, however we ended up with elves anyway. We rushed home from work, finished the last bit of cleaning and had dinner before our visitors came.

Tara and Brynne Swann came and stayed with us Wednesday night through Friday night while their parents were at a family wedding in Florida. We had LOTS of fun together.

Thursday we lounged, made yams and then went to Phillip's parents house for turkey dinner. (yum!) After awhile we went over to my parents to play with the kids there and got to talk to my grandma.

Friday the girls helped us pick out and decorate our Christmas tree. It's nice to have almost all of the decorating done already. Now I just have to do my shopping! Friday night the girls went to their aunt & uncle's house and Phil and I got to spend the evening playing Phase 10 with my sister and her husband. Barb won and we made pizookies!

Saturday I went to a baby shower for our friend Lauren Green and then she and Aaron came to visit us that night. They live in Las Vegas so we never get to see them. :( Their baby is going to be so cute!
Sunday I went to a Messiah sing-a-long. way fun!

Overall it was a full weekend but good. I'm ready for a nap though.

The Reason for it all

The family is ordained of God. Marriage between man and woman is essential to His eternal plan. By divine design, fathers are to preside over their families in love and righteousness and are responsible to provide the necessities of life and protection for their families. Mothers are primarily responsible for the nurture of their children. In these sacred responsibilities, fathers and mothers are obligated to help one another as equal partners.
