For those of you who don't know, there is this marvelous thing called Redbox. You get to "rent" movies for $1/day without having to interact with 16 year olds. You can find it at your local grocery store or, if you live in St. George, at Rachel's house! :)
Phillip stumbled on the Redbox blog which gives out free movie codes on Wednesdays for the month of March, and I've found it interesting to get "the know" on some of the movies coming out on DVD.
Apparently I didn't get to the theaters enough to see the preview for this movie before.
It looks like it could be rather fun, however according to the blog "Labor Pains, isn't even going to appear in theaters; it will premiere on the ABC Family cable channel in July and then be available as a DVD afterward."
ABC Family has become one of my new favorite channels. The Secret life of the American Teenager is my new teen drama.

While it is a show about a pregnant teenager, it shows that there are consequences for every action. Life isn't all pink bunnies and flowers when you do whatever you want and (my favorite line from the end of every episode) "teenage pregnancy is 100% preventable".
They're also making a TV series based off of 10 Things I Hate About You (my favorite movie), so that could have something to do with my newly acquired love for the channel.
Then, the other day Phillip wasn't home for some reason and I was channel flipping...well, I was looking through the guide - much easier than flipping and without all the annoying breaks in sound. Anyway I stumbled on this show on Discover Health (I didn't even know we got the channel). I don't even remember what the show was but it was followed up with "Deliver Me" this show about these 3 OBGYN's and their practice down in L.A.

I got sucked into the show, specifically one story line about this little baby who was going to be born with part of his intestines outside of his body. The whole show is building up to it: Will the baby be okay? How long will the surgeries last? Will the baby get to go home before the dad goes back to Iraq? Well, of course, like all good shows, it ends with a cliffhanger. I was so frustrated that I got so sucked in and didn't know the ending! Aparently in my frustration I set the series (or at least another episode) to record. Yesterday I finally got to see the ending. Of course the episode left another cliffhanger but at least this time I was prepared.
Okay, I think that's the end of this commercial break. We now return you to your previously scheduled programing.
