Okay, so I have to sneak on here and post this, because as those of you who know Julianna know, she would never brag about herself so here goes.....
Last week, if she says she was busy, that would be an understatement. She was out every night of the week doing something different each time and in many cases either magnifying a calling, serving others, or just being a friend to those who needed it at that time. Not once in that whole week did she ever complain - she simply knew that it all needed to be done so she did it.
She has made home life easier for both of us, by now assigning out the chores. This not only helps with the division of labor, but allows us the opportunity to pick the chores we like (straightening front room) and generally speaking avoid the ones we dislike (toilets). These have been posted on our fridge as a reminder. She doesn't harp on me about my chores, just silently reminds me that they need to be done by doing her own.
Sunday was Break the Fast. Husband gut here did not sleep well all weekend due to an incredibly injured knee that didn't allow me to put any pressure on it (I slept MAYBE six hours between Thursday night and Sunday afternoon). When I crashed, those of you at the Bishop's house truly heard it, I crashed and loudly. I heard stories and jokes were told. My wife loved me enough though to let me sleep and just deal with hearing the jokes herself. (I feel ashamed that she took the brunt of the comments on my behalf and I did nothing to stop them - the whole being asleep thing stopped me.)
This week has been almost as busy for her already and yet she keeps a smile on and continues to go and do. Whether it be Mutual, Camp Meetings, or going to the temple with me since I am in the Bishopric and it is a Bishopric night, my loving and devoted wife continues to give of herself selflessly.
Julianna is my rock and my strength for whom I can always turn for support. She gives me love and support, even in those times when I probably don't deserve it. She is a great daughter and wonderful daughter-in-law. She is an example to the youth she serves and the youth I serve (yes, she gets up and goes to seminary from time to time to support me and help encourage the youth). She makes our house a home. She inspires and motivates me. She is a dedicated employee. Most importantly Julianna Lin Iverson is indeed my best friend.
Some of you might think this post a bit "cheesy," but I would like to disagree. I love my wife and want her to know how much I appreciate all that she does for me and others. She gives and loves and so seldomly thinks of herself.
When was the last time any of you stopped to thank the individuals in your life for all that they do. We often complain about what people don't do - but how often do we thank for what they do?

You are indeed too sweet my love. Thank you.
Sooo true. She's amazing! Maybe well see you guys at the temple tonight. We couldn't get into the 6:15 session so we will be doing other stuff.
Yes, Julianna is one heck of a lady! We love her too!
P.S. Phil, I hope you didn't think we were laughing AT you when you were sleeping. More than once, Kevin or I have fallen asleep somewhere other than home just like that. I have a deep appreciation for much needed rest and I'm glad you do, too!
you're in the bishopric?! since when?
and this post is so not cheesy! this is what i look forward to having someday....being able to write such nice things about a person and hopefully having the same things written back about me because i am loved and appreciated. =)
