First of all, last night we had a new member join our family...

That's right. We are now the proud parents of a Wii! I've been saving since Christmas last and Phillip let me use a little extra from our account.
It took abt 3 hours to get everything put together because I kept putting the cords for the DVD in the wrong slots and the entertainment center was on top of the power strip, but everything is up and going now!
Second on my list of thoughts is the recent holiday. Our 4th was a little on the quiet side (until the neighbors set off the millions of fireworks in the street) and it allowed me time to reflect on the freedoms we have and 4th of July's past.

I am so grateful to live in a country where we can worship as we please, where we can talk to (or ignore) whomever we want and where I could find such a wonderful husband.
I'm grateful for fantastic friends and fun times and fond memories. July 4th, Christmas and Valentine's Day bring bitter sweet memories to me. 2 of my best friends and I each lost siblings on or near these holidays. These deaths have bonded the 3 of us through thick and thin. We don't often speak for very long on those dates, but our thoughts are always with each other. I've also gained a much stronger friendship with three others because of these events.
I know the Lord watches over all of us.
I hope you all had a great 4th of July!

SWEET!!! What games do you have? Any that we can play each other in? My parent's have Animal Crossing and Mario Kart and you can play with your friends. We've played animal crossing with the Hubbles before. :P
We have Mario Kart (my current fav) and something about Indiana Jones...I don't think it's even out of the packaging yet. And of course the Wii Sports.
Fun times! You should come over and we can make a night of it!
YEAH! I love that you SAVED to buy it! That makes me LOVE YOU EVEN more that I already do! :) The banker in me has a BIG FAT smile across her face! The Wii is something Matt and I have thought about... you'll have to help us decide if we NEED it...
For me it was more of a want at first. Then I did the boxing and realized what a workout it was. And it's a FUN workout!
I think we've used it every day since we got it (of course in safe amounts. :)).
You guys can come over and check it out if you want, since you're offically in the ward now. ;)
