Voting...Thy Will, O Lord, Be Done

Our family has decided to join President Monson and the other General Authorities in fasting and praying tomorrow. In the midst of the chaos and voting tomorrow, our thoughts may be different,

PUBLIC AFFAIRS: Let’s say my 17-year-old son comes to talk to me and,...tells me that he believes that he’s attracted to men...What do I tell him as a parent?
ELDER OAKS: You’re my son. You will always be my son, and I’ll always be there to help you.

Our beliefs may not be the same,

We ask that you do all you can to support the proposed constitutional amendment by donating of your means and time to assure that marriage in California is legally defined as being between a man and a woman. Our best efforts are required to preserve the sacred institution of marriage.

Our actions may differ,

To fast is to go without food and drink voluntarily for a certain period of time. Fasting combined with sincere prayer can strengthen us spiritually, bring us closer to God, and help us prepare ourselves and others to receive His blessings.

But I pray that we can all...
...pray for strength, that we may say, As He, “Thy will, O Lord, be done.”
