"The Prophet Said to Plant a Garden"

I figured it was time to share some updates on the "garden" (a.k.a. some planter boxes and a spot of earth in our back yard). Some things have flourished...others have not. Disclaimer: this was BEFORE watering. They look much better afterwards.

Here's the Onions. They look okay to me - though I'm not sure how they're supposed to look.

This is the before shot of the tomatoes (far) and one of the bell peppers (we planted two, but you can only see one in the front).

This one's a little over exposed, but the tomatoes are growing well. There's one long skinny tomato right in the center of the picture.

The bell peppers are another story. unlike the others, this box didn't get it's plugs pulled. I kept watering it, just like Teacher Nichole told me to...but the boxes are higher than I can see, so I didn't notice the ever growing water level until it was too late. Here's one of the plants:

And here's the other one, the one you could see in the before picture. I call it my sad little twig.

Zucchini is the one I've been amazed with. Before: (I swear it looked like this when I left for Women's Conference)

And Here's what it looked like when I got home. Notice how much of the dirt it's taken over:

All in all, I think it's pretty good for a first garden.

I think your onions need more sun. Mine are about 4-5 times bigger then that and I planted yours at the same time as mind. Well I can share with you. Your zucchini looks pretty good. You are doing great.

I hear during zucchini season, you should lock your car. LOL! Doesn't have anything to do with your post necessarily, just thought it was funny!
